We’re not usually ones for explaining the finer points or references in our ridiculous comics. Not that there’s usually a lot that needs clarification - a small pink reptilian ball-shaped creature pissing on a small blue reptilian ball-shaped creature is fairly self explanatory, we assume. However when we do put the occasional slightly oblique reference in a comic, we like to think our readers are bright and sexy enough to figure it out themselves without any of our tedious ramblings.

Fridays comic however, is almost certainly going to be lost on anyone who is not a UK resident. Allow us to explain. For what seems like the past 8000 years or so, we’ve had inflicted upon us a TV advertising campaign of such monumental vapidity it’s been known to make grown men weep. The product in question is a certain brand name toilet tissue, or ‘bog roll’ to give it its scientific name. And it features a wretchedly adorable puppy. Look on our adverts, ye non-british residents, and despair:

The only slight comfort we can take from all of this is that the dog that starred in the original ad must surely be long dead by now, and enjoying his stay in Doggy Hell along with every dog whose bottom offerings we’ve ever trodden in, that miserable little shit Scrappy Doo and Frtiz The Alsation Bastard.
